How to Epoxy your Countertops
With high-quality epoxy resin from EPODEX, you can redesign or revamp your kitchen countertops in a few simple steps. Prepare the area and surface to be coated. Work at 70°F. Gather your Countertop & Tabletop kit, accessories, and safety equipment. Always wear a mask, gloves, goggles, and protective clothing. Repair any holes, cracks, or edges. Remove any silicone.
Make sure the area is clean, dry, ad dust-free. Mix your primer well before use. Apply a thin coating over the entire surface with a foam roller. This layer acts as your priming layer and seals off the surface. The priming layer is a very important step. Allow the layer to harden for one day.
Continue with the main coating in the same way to create your epoxy kitchen countertops. Depending on the kit selected either 1, or 2 colors will be provided. Mix each color individually with the resin A component and then add the hardener A component afterward. Work wet on wet with both colors.
Use a stir stick to create lines and waves. Once you’ve completed your design allow the layer to cure for one day before using it. Do not wet it for 7 days. Create unique one-of-a-kind designs and show off your epoxy kitchen countertops in no time.
